PRINTABLE MEDICATION TRACKER FOR COVID MEDICATION AND ISOLATION

*DISCLAIMER* This printable medication tracker was made to help you remember and dispense medications correctly. Any medications listed are merely to demonstrate how to fill the tracker out on your own. Always follow your Doctors recommendations for vital signs and medication/treatment times.

While my husband and I were quarantine with Covid, it became hard for me to remember what meds and treatments I had given. My husband was given a large assortment of vitamins and medications. I wished (so many times) that I had a M.A.R. (Medication Administration Record). A M.A.R. Is what nurses used in the good old days to chart. Each patient had spreadsheet listing their medications and times to be given. Very few places still use the written records, but you can still find templates and examples online.

I decided to make a tracker so that I could more easily see what I’ve given and what I need to give. I made it printable so that anyone could easily print and use it. It is a very basic tracker, and I hope that it is very easy to understand. I’ll show you how I do it, but feel free to adapt it for you.

Here is our example script. You may receive only a printed list, or only the actual medication. Regardless of how you receive your orders, this is very simple. You’ve got this!

1: Under the MEDICATION header, Add the first medication.

2: Under the photo of a clock, write down the time you will be giving. If you are just giving one pill daily, you can put 09 or you can put AM. The easiest way for medication, and what I use, is military time.

Twice daily meds are usually given at 0900 and 2100

Three times daily meds are usually given at 0900 1600 and 2100

PM usually means 2100

A quick google search can help you with any odd times or multiple times given.

Add dates to your tracker starting with the day you will begin giving them.
This is an example of the completed record. This shows how to write down one med with multiple times. Continue to list your medications and times until all of the medications are written down.

I’ve listed Oxygen saturation and temperature as a reminder and easy way to track. Please follow your physicians orders and check these as often as he/she orders.

If this post and document help even one person to be just a little less stressed, my mission has been accomplished. Please do not forget that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
